Defence Minister Rajanth Singh commissioned a Kalvari class Submarine INS Khanderi at Naval Dockyard in Mumbai. After commissioning the second Scorpene submarine Khanderi he said, “Pakistan should understand that today with the strong resolve of our government and advancement in naval capacity with additions like INS Khanderi , we are capable of giving a much bigger blow to it if need be.” The Khanderi was launched into water in January 2017 but the induction was delayed due to issues encountered during trials.
