The United Democratic Front continues to lead in Manjeswaram, Ernakulam and Aroor

The United Democratic Front (UDF) continues to lead in Manjeswaram, Ernakulam and Aroor even as Left Democratic Front (LDF) candidates significantly enhanced their lead in Konni and Vattiyurkavu, nearly two-and-half hours into the counting of votes in Kerala. In Manjeswaram, UDF candidate M.C. Kamarudeen has improved his lead to over 6,600 votes when votes polled in 78 of the 199 polling stations were completed by 10 a.m. BJP's Ravish Thanthri Kuntar is trailing second. UDF's T.J. Vinod has enhanced his lead in Ernakulam to over 4,200 votes over his nearest rival LDF-backed independent Manu Roy. In Aroor, the other constituency where the UDF is leading, UDF's Shanimol Usman is leading by over 2,400 votes over LDF's Manu C. Pulickal. In Konni, K.U. Jenish Kumar of the LDF was leading by around 4,600 votes when votes polled in 112 of the 213 booths were counted.
